How to Add a Favicon to Squarespace

Squarespace calls favicons "Browser Icons". Upload one in site settings — Squarespace recommends at least 100x100, but 512x512 PNG looks best. Note the menu location differs between Squarespace versions (Design → Browser Icon vs Settings → General → Browser Icon).

Step 1 — Prepare your favicon

Generate a 512x512 PNG with the favicon generator. Squarespace accepts PNG, JPG, and GIF; only one favicon image is used.

Click the icon box and upload your square PNG
